We are a regionally focused and nationally connected practice working in a multi-disciplinary environment. We deliver a diverse portfolio of landscape master planning, urban regeneration, parks and greenspaces, public realm and environment focussed projects for the public and private sectors.

We are looking for someone with strong geospatial and graphic skills to join our talented Landscape & Urban Design team based in Scotland & Northern Ireland with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast.

Core tasks

Collaborate with project design teams to create and integrate mapping data and present spatial information in intuitive and interactive ways.
Create and update maps using GIS software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards. Compile, evaluate and analyse data to support preparation of web-based mapping applications, figures, tables, graphs, databases and reports. Work with a range of technical specialists across engineering and environment disciplines to develop a range of geospatial and graphic content as required for various projects.

Role requirements

  • Degree or Masters qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Knowledge and experience with geospatial software such as ArcGIS Pro.
  • Ability to create interactive surveys, StoryMaps etc. to support projects.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Creative thinking and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong capability of with working with a variety of design software such as Adobe, AutoCAD etc. is beneficial.

This position would suit someone wishing to pursue the Technician Route to Landscape Institute Chartership or someone with a keen interest or experience of working in industry sectors related to landscape and urban design.
