About the Role

Our people-centred culture, combined with our tech and data expertise, makes us one of the UK's leading companies and a great place to start your career as a Graduate Account Manager within our Sales community.

As a business, we aim to improve the process of buying and selling vehicles in the UK. We do this by driving efficiencies in our customers' business by offering the right digital products at the right time, and our account managers are at the heart of the action.

All of our graduates start their careers in our in-house academy. We'll help build your knowledge of the automotive industry, so you don't need to worry about loving cars to work here. Commercial insight and sales techniques are vital to the role of the account manager, and you’ll develop your skills and experience through time on the programme and with our talented community of account managers and account directors.

You'll undertake five rotations that encompass working with our small to medium-sized independent customers, franchise customers, data and insight, digital retailing, and understanding how our most complex customers operate. Each rotation will help you build your knowledge and experience to lay the foundations of your future career at Autotrader.

You'll be working with customers over the phone and face to face, and like in any customer focused, sales environment, there are targets and KPI's. At times, you'll have challenging conversations, and this is when your resilience, tenacity and excellent communication skills will be crucial to the role's success.

Our graduate programme starts in October 2022.

Although this is an office-based Account Manager role, the role does have a field-based element, so a UK Driving License or motivation to obtain one is essential.

What we're looking for

You'll be a recent graduate in any degree discipline, have a passion for customer service and be excited by our values-driven culture.

As a digital business, we're constantly evolving, so the ability to adapt and learn to an ever-changing landscape is a must.

Given the level of interaction with our customers both over the phone and face to face, you'll enjoy building relationships and shaping digital change. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to influence based on data and insight.

You'll be numerate and analytical with some experience in collecting, analysing, and presenting data in a meaningful and engaging way.

Our Aviva pension scheme offers between 5% to 7% employer contributions depending on the percentage you choose to contribute, and we provide Bupa healthcare cover for all our employees.

Our employee assistance programme, share-save options, Calm app subscription and discounted gym rates are just some of the other benefits on offer if you decide to join us.

We're passionate about career development at Auto Trader, and we all develop and learn things differently. Whether you attend an external conference, utilise a LinkedIn Learning license or choose one of our in-house masterclasses, there's something for everyone.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 20th October 2021.
