The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an economics undergraduate with keen analytic and mathematical skills to join an economic research team at one of Europe’s largest asset managers. Working directly with the Head of Macroeconomics, this role will involve work primarily on the US and UK economies, including analysing how economies will emerge from a period of high inflation and softening activity and the financial market implications of ongoing support from authorities. This fast-moving role will give valuable experience of working in a global economics team. As well as being based in London’s newest office space.

The intern will be supporting the development and delivery of integrated advertising campaigns at the brand, segment and product levels, including all brand support on a global level.

Your responsibilities 

  • Assist in strategic media planning
  • Supporting the management of global and local market objectives and liaising with media agency
  • Support campaign development and delivery
  • Develop an understanding of markets and customer segments to ensure that creative is on-brief and builds on insights, learnings and results from previous campaigns
  • Coordinate across internal and local teams, and agencies, to develop and deliver differentiated advertising solutions across full media mix including digital display, paid social, programmatic, video, paid search campaigns, native and print channels
  • Manage the compliance process as part of overall project process at the global and local levels to ensure approval of all campaign materials
  • Quality check agency outputs (e.g. creatives, cost estimate) to ensure compliance to agreed terms.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders (agencies, internal teams, and local markets) to deliver assets on time
  • Campaign performance analysis
  • Own the monthly internal reporting “snapshot” by pulling raw data from the media agency reporting system, building charts in Excel and adding insights to the presentation before sharing with the wider teams
  • Brand guardianship and support
  • Act as key brand champion driving adoption and adherence to brand platforms and assisting other parts of the business with brand-related queries where required.
  • Ad hoc support for our internal design agency – workflow management, basic design projects, cross-team reporting
  • Assist with competitor creative and media reporting and analysis to produce reports for internal teams and local markets
  • Contribute to transversal projects and communications initiatives across the wider Communications team where required.

Qualifications

Share your unique expertise:

  • 2nd year Undergraduate students available for a sandwich year
  • Management and communications skills to work with team members and collaborating with key stakeholders as a functional specialist.
  • Some understanding of the marketing mix and willingness to learn about global B2B2C advertising campaign management.
  • Demonstrate and develop project management skills, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously either as part of team or as an individual.
  • Acute attention to detail to ensure all work is delivered without mistakes
  • Passionate about brand and advertising and creativity bringing new ideas to the table via keeping up to date with latest innovations and technology from outside and within financial services.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global matrixed organisation.
  • Learn to work with creative, production, and media agencies on creative development, production, and media plan fulfilment and delivery.
  • Language skills would be a great asset for the role but not essential; either French, Italian or Traditional Chinese based on our priority markets. There would be opportunity to attend meetings and conduct work in these languages as well as English, if the candidate has those language skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint would be beneficial
  • An interest or background in graphic design or experience with tools like Creative Cloud (InDesign etc) would also be beneficial
