Bain & Company is one of the world's leading management consulting firms. We work with top executives to help them make better decisions, convert those decisions to actions and deliver the sustainable success they desire. For 50 years, we've been passionate about achieving better results for our clients—results that go beyond financial and are uniquely tailored, pragmatic, holistic and enduring. This is all part of why Bain is consistently ranked as one of the best firms to work for— currently ranking #1 on Glassdoor's UK Best Places to Work and are featured on The Times list of Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality UK.

Everything we do at Bain & Company is guided by True North. True North is an unchanging and true point on a gyro-compass. It is constant, singular and unaffected by factors like magnetic forces or location. For us, True North is our unswerving commitment to always do the right thing by our clients, our people, and our communities. Additionally, Bain’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is key to building extraordinary teams. We hire people with exceptional talents, abilities and potential, then create an environment where you can become the best version of yourself.

What?

Bain London is running a scholarship programme this summer specifically for students in the UK and Ireland who identify as Black. The aim is to inspire and equip you with practical leadership and personal impact skills. This programme is part of a series of True North events Bain London is running, with the aim to discover more about the management consultant industry as well as highlight careers at Bain for student groups historically underrepresented in consulting.

As part of the programme, a group of top candidates will be invited to:

  • Participate in a two-day True North workshop at our London office
  • Take part in early Associate Consultant interviews, after which the scholarship will be awarded to one participant
  • Be supported by a Bain buddy throughout the programme

The two-day True North Workshop will

  • Provide a unique insight into our industry and what a career in consulting could offer you
  • Create opportunities for you to learn and practice a number of key skills, including some of the tools our teams use to crack critical business problems, as well as tips and tricks for interviews
  • Provide an excellent opportunity to meet a group of like-minded individuals from across the UK & Ireland and to hear about the impact we have here at Bain

Who?

We are keen to meet Black students in their penultimate year students from any degree or discipline of any nationality studying at any UK or Irish university. You'll need to be a strong academic achiever, with great communication skills and the drive, passion and energy to solve problems and really make a difference.

Why?

All workshop participants will be invited to early Associate Consultant interviews and will be supported by a buddy programme before, during and after the workshop. The scholarship winner will receive £10,000!
