Supporting the production and analyses of computer vision and machine learning systems for automated inspection developed by Omnicom Balfour Beatty.
Accountabilities
- Participate in cutting-edge applied research on computer vision and machine learning systems for automated railway inspection;
- Collaborate with the computer vision, data analytics, and software engineering teams for production and maintenance of surveying and inspection systems;
- Participation in data analysis, analytical modelling, and productionisation of advanced analytical solutions.
Personal qualities and experience
The following qualities/experience are essential
- Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program, with the option to include a 12-month industrial placement as a part of your degree program.
- Studying computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Good coding skills, for at least one programming language such as C/C++, Python (Python Preferred.)
- Enthusiasm for the cutting-edge technologies, in particular computer vision and machine learning.
- Excellent analytical, teamwork, and communication skills
The following qualities/experience are desirable
- Expertise in deep learning using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Industrial programming experience such as familiarity with Linux and Git.
- Knowledge of image processing, computer vision, or machine learning.
