Our Materials Engineering Graduates follow a training programme as part of our accredited ICE scheme, geared towards you achieving Chartered Engineer status. Depending on project requirements, you could be site, office based or both.
What you'll be doing:
- Practical materials engineering related to earthworks, aggregates, concrete and similar products, including technical, commercial and environmental aspects.
- Ensuring all work is undertaken safely in accordance with required processes
- Undertaking ground investigations and testing of materials including aggregates, concrete and asphalt in accordance with required standards, in the laboratory and on construction sites.
- Complying with the high standards of work required by the Quality Management Systems to required deadlines
- Maintaining equipment to required standards as required by the Laboratory Manager
- Proactively communicating with senior staff to ensure effective communication
Who we're looking for:
What you’ll need:
- A minimum of a 2:2 BSc (Hons) Geology, Geography or similar Earth Sciences subject
- Ideally have experience within an engineering environment
- Eligibility to work and live in the UK at the time of joining
- Ideally hold a full UK drivers’ licence at the time of joining
These roles are UK wide and could be based at the following locations: Midlands or South East
