Job description

This role involves the following key tasks:

  • Hands-on development and implementation of vehicle build up solutions for ADAS (autonomous driving/parking and comfort features)
  • Development of automation test scripts (using Python or other) for testing on the Hardware-in-loop (HiL) or vehicle environment
  • Plan and execute software release testing on HiL
  • Support current team with technology solutions to improve efficiency in testing & test development
  • Occasional travel to customer locations (JLR-~Coventry & Ford-Basildon) to support on-site team

Qualifications

Essential

  • Engineering degree - mechanical / electrical / electronics / computer
  • Studying for an undergraduate or Masters degree and required to take a placement as part of your course.
  • Proficient with scripting in python or any other languages
  • Ability to organise own work and work autonomously.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in MS office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Full UK driving licence as you will have occasional travel to a customer location - Coventry or Basildon. Please ensure this requirement is noted on your CV to enable us to proceed with your application.

Additional information

This is a 12 or 13 month internship beginning in July 2024. This position is open to undergraduates or Masters students who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK when you start your placement and for the full duration of your placement. Please note your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply with visa requirements.
