Job Description

We are offering one student the opportunity to work with us at our St Neots office on a 12 month placement scheme. The purpose of this role is to support our UK buyers with purchasing requirements. You will work within a team in a busy department.

Your responsibilities may include

  • Support of purchasing team on strategic topics and daily business requirements
  • Update and maintain data in SAP system
  • Process request for quotations and negotiating pricing
  • Understanding some specific processes then producing complete work instructions for these processes
  • A specific project which will bring continuous improvement to the department

Your profile

  • Studying for a degree (or equivilant) in a business discipline
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages including word, excel, powerpoint and outlook
  • Good attention to detail, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Analytical and flexible approach to work
  • Good command of the English language (spoken and written)
  • Able to use own initiative with the ability to work on own as well as part of a team
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate confidently
