Overview

Our paid Digital & Technology bp Discovery Week is designed to give you genuine insight into our business and to show you where you could fit in. You will have the opportunity to network with other students, meet recent graduates and hear from digital & technology leaders. You will attend a series of workshops and seminars; building both skills and knowledge. You will also have the chance to shadow an area of the business that you are most interested in. We currently offer career pathways as a Software, Platform or Security Engineer, Data Scientist, Production and Business Services Data Specialist, IT Business Analyst &  IT Service Engineer. Securing a place on this programme will provide a fast track to technical interview to be considered for a summer internship the following year.

The programme will take place during the university spring holidays. You will spend time in our Sunbury-on-Thames office and may travel to other locations for your shadow experience.  As well as being a paid programme, travel to and from the placement will be reimbursed and accommodation will be provided

Requirements

To be eligible for this programme, applicants must be in their pre-penultimate year of study. 
For example you may be a first year student on a 3 year course or second year student on a 4 year course and graduating in 2023. Academically we look for you to be on track to achieve a 2:1 (or above) in your final year of study. You must also be studying any STEM degree.

Please be aware that should bp or government health and safety guidelines dictate that it is not suitable to deliver this programme in person, we would aim to run this virtually.  While we hope that the on-site programme will take place, our contingency virtual offering will still provide exposure, education and insight into bp.
