BT Group is the global powerhouse behind EE, BT, Plusnet, and Openreach.

We value diversity and celebrate difference. We’ll encourage you to be yourself, whatever your background. As Philip Jansen, our CEO, says ‘We embed diversity and inclusion into everything that we do. It’s fundamental to our purpose: we connect for good.’

Whichever brand you’re working for, we’re all playing for the same team. And we all enjoy the rewards of being part of something bigger: the opportunities to explore new experiences, pursue different dreams, climb challenging career ladders, and try out different ways of working.

We’re always looking ahead. We don’t just sell broadband, and networks, and security, and thousands of clever things you’ve never heard of; in our Martlesham labs, we’re inventing the technologies of the future.

Four brands. One team, 100,000 strong. Together, we’re connecting the world. Come and play your part in building the BT Group of the future, one that will be net zero by 2030.

    About this role

In Network Cloud – we manage the services that BT offers to its customers. From helping Kevin Bacon make another advert about EE’s number 1 network, to ensuring that our broadband services are the best for gaming and working-from-home. Behind these all of these services are teams of experts who make things happen – they run the services, understand the tech, support our customers and innovate.

During this placement, you will be placed at the heart of this environment. You will learn how to translate customer needs and issues into technical resolutions for one of the world’s biggest IP network and the UKs best Mobile Network. You will get the opportunity to work in the Network Cloud team supporting, maintaining and delivering new private cloud instances and services to our customers, and fixing issues if they arise. You will play a role in BT’s data-driven approach to problem-resolution. If you want to build skills needed for a data-rich future, then join us!

Our programme will also give you countless opportunities to approach new challenges and develop your technology skills. Whether you’re looking at future innovation, defining strategy, protecting customers through security, or working with teams across our company to develop new products, tools and systems.. through insight-driven data, you’ll help us break boundaries.

While you don’t need to be studying for a computer science degree, you’ll need to be able to show us your passion for technology. We’ll give you all the support you need to make sure you’ve got the skills and knowledge to succeed. But it’s not just all technical, you’ll also need the ability to be able to translate complex ideas to our customers and the business acumen to see valuable opportunities when they arise.

This placement is available in the Networks part of our business.
