Role purpose

To schedule, survey and provide written technical reports for survey work on behalf of contract managers within the Indoor Air & Water Quality business unit. Production of a legionella risk assessment, asbestos re-inspection and fire risk review. Air hygiene reports are also produced.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Carry out water hygiene monitoring, including the completion of site logbooks.
  • Carry out risk assessments and audits of basic building water systems for the control of legionellosis including auditing of site records.
  • Carry out assessments of basic air conditioning systems and environmental assessments of occupied areas in relation to indoor air quality.
  • Carry out Asbestos Re-inspections and Fire Risk Reviews as part of the Comply 3 projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports including observations, recommendations and interpretation of laboratory analysis.
  • Produce draft schematic drawings of building water systems for submission to the CAD team.
  • Arrange and carry out all work to meet with agreed Company & client timescales.
  • Liaise with Contract Managers in relation to work under their control.
  • Deploy in line with Bureau Veritas Core Values and Code of Ethics
  • Compliance with the Bureau Veritas UK Management System and IAWQ procedures and methods.
  • Compliance with the Bureau Veritas UK Health & Safety policy and procedures.
  • Support the culture of ‘One BV’ within the team.

About you

Experience & skills required

  • Effective communication skills
  • Previous Environmental, Health and Safety, Laboratory or Quality Control related experience
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Customer focused
  • Computer Literate – MS Word a must

Qualifications required

  • GCSE or equivalent
  • A Level
  • Degree in related subject preferred
