As well as providing study support for the GradCG qualification, this role will involve providing quality services to clients, ensuring all queries are responded to as soon as possible and assisting members of team with preparing forms and documents.

You will be encouraged to take responsibility for your own professional development, drawing on the knowledge you acquire about each of the teams in the Firm.

The Company Secretarial team is a specialist team of four who support businesses at every stage, from set-up to disposal. They provide excellent company secretarial support to non-listed UK entities, both commercial and and those in the not-for-profit sector, often working with other specialist teams to ensure clients' requirements are closely considered and fully comply with the relevant UK laws.

The Company Secretarial team sits within the larger Business Services team, made up of around 50 people who are all dedicated to providing the full complement of outsourced services including managing accounting, VAT, payroll, company secretarial and regulatory reporting.

Key aspects of the role include

  • Preparing forms and documents under the guidance of an experienced member of the team
  • Communicating with clients in a precise, articulate manner in order to coordinate the execution of documents
  • Competently utilise the company secretarial system (full training provided) to ensure that records are updated efficiently and that the information submitted to Companies House is always accurate
  • Assisting the team to ensure all deadlines are met

Training Provided

You will study towards the GradCG qualification, building not only on your technical skills, but also on your personal and professional development. Training consists of a combination of courses at the tutors’ offices, private study and regular exams, as well as on-the-job training. You will have paid study leave to support you in the run up to exams and all course and exam fees are paid for.

No previous experience is required for our trainee roles, but to apply you will need to have

  • 2.1 degree in any discipline, or equivalent (LLB preferred)
  • 120 UCAS tariff points (300 using old UCAS tariff) from 3 A-levels or equivalent
  • Excellent GCSE results with a minimum of level 5 (B grade using the old system) in GSCE Maths and English Language, or equivalent
  • The right to work in the UK without restrictions for the duration of the training contract
