We are looking for bright graduates to join us as VAT Compliance Assistants in our specialist Fiscal Solutions team.

The team support businesses that trade across Europe and beyond, helping them minimise their fiscal and administrative responsibilities in the countries where they operate. Our multi-lingual team of approximately 30 people speak 14 languages enabling us to deal directly with tax authorities and clients across the globe. This allowed the team to work on over 20,000 VAT returns in 2017/2018.

You will provide support to the Fiscal Solutions team to help ensure all cross-border VAT returns for clients are processed and filed by each country’s deadlines.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and develop a career in VAT Compliance and full training will be provided in this entry-level role.

Key aspects of the role

  • Assisting the team with the preparation and submission of EC VAT returns, Intrastat Reports, EC sales listings and other filings.
  • Assisting Client Managers with liaising with clients to obtain relevant documents before submission deadlines and respond to queries.
  • Submitting documents and liaising with tax offices.
  • Ensuring that all the return filing deadlines are met.
  • Updating databases and the internal deadline trackers.

You are the right person for the role if you:

  • Have a degree and 3 A-levels or equivalent
  • Have an interest in UK or EU VAT
  • Have the ability to liaise with internal and external clients
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to interact professionally with internal and external clients, and build meaningful relationships. You will be an organised team player, who works well under pressure.
