Working with us
We are looking to recruit ambitious graduates to join us on a 24-month rotational programme.
This is a full-time, permanent contract (hybrid working), starting in September 2023.
About the programme and rotations
The C. Hoare & Co. Graduate Scheme is a 24-month rotational programme offering graduates the opportunity to work in up to six areas of the business. Within each department, you will be allocated a line manager, a Buddy and a Mentor. You will have ownership of specific projects and deliverables and you will be supported throughout your learning experience with clear objectives.
The overall aim of the rotations is to help you understand how the bank works by exposing you to some critical business areas. This will provide you with broad knowledge of the bank and its processes, helping you to succeed and helping us to find the leaders of the future.
We aim to rotate all graduates across the following departments:
- Banking. You will gain front-of-office and first-hand experience of interacting with customers, develop knowledge of credit and lending, and develop an understanding of banking control.
- Customer. You will learn how customer requests are carried out in different areas and how excellent customer experience is delivered through different channels. You will also gain awareness of all aspects of fraud and learn how we help protect our customers.
- Risk. Managing risk is core to the bank’s strategy of sustainable growth. You will learn how the bank manages risk in a consistent and robust way to meet regulatory requirements.
- Technology. You will become familiar with the technologies that underpin our banking operations and digital channels.
We understand that graduates are ambitious and curious to explore the best options for their future career. On completion of the four compulsory rotations above, you will undertake two further rotations in additional departments based on your preferences.
Throughout the programme, our graduates will be supported by multiple structured learning and development opportunities such as core-skills training, stretch assignments, projects, volunteering, and mentoring.
