We are looking for a Junior Business Systems Engineer to join our IT Services team at Cambridge Consultants. The role

As a Junior Business Systems Engineer, you’ll join the Enterprise Applications team and will be responsible for the technical implementation of various business applications.

You’ll join a team of 7, within a wider IT Services department of 30, to support the ever-changing needs of the business. You’ll also work closely with key stakeholders to develop relationships with a huge variety of colleagues from across our business units.

You’ll be given a diverse workload from the get-go with the opportunity to work on the full lifecycle of implementing new business systems as well as maintaining and supporting existing business systems. This role is likely to evolve, and we would like you to steer it in the direction that suits you.

Responsibilities

You will be involved in and responsible for the following tasks:

  • Administering, monitoring and improving business applications including both on-premise and Cloud solutions
  • Working with stakeholders to implement and configure new business applications to meet business needs and user experience expectations
  • Collaborating closely with external parties for new implementations or where system support is outsourced
  • Automating system configuration and processes where appropriate
  • Developing technical solutions to solve application integration challenges
  • Reviewing and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business applications
  • Troubleshooting issues with applications and services
  • Maintaining technical documentation
  • Providing technical support for applications and services to end-users
