Ready to make an impact?

At Capital One, we're on a mission to change banking for good. You might think of us as a credit card provider. But we're a financial services company with technology at the heart of our business. We look at credit the way tech companies look at everything – thinking of better, smarter and easier ways to do things that will really change the way people live. As a business, we always want to be leaders, not followers. And that’s why Strategy Analysts are essential to our business.

One of the happy consequences of making finance easier for our customers is that Capital One is an inspiring place to launch your career. Join us, and you can expect early responsibility as you take on meaningful work in collaborative teams.

We are committed to creating a level playing field and seek to create teams that are representative of our customers and the communities we serve. We’d love to hear from you if you identify with an under-represented group in our industry and are particularly keen to hear from women, the LGBTQ+ community and ethnic minority candidates.

We want to help you grow. That’s why we invest heavily in your learning and development. We’ve got a great track record of hiring graduates and enabling them to reach their full potential. Just look at our CEO, Lucy Hagues. She started as a graduate and now leads the UK business. And that’s just one of many success stories.

Strategy Analysts at Capital One

You’ll come at problems from fresh new angles. You’ll bring great ideas (and not be afraid to share them). You’ll keep our whole organisation on the right track. And you’ll use data to solve problems and drive change that leads the whole industry forwards.

What you’ll need

It doesn’t matter what degree you have. What does matter is that you bring a curious mindset, along with superb problem-solving skills. However, an aptitude for maths is important. You should be keen to develop your skills in coding and analysis. We’re  looking for people who thrive in a collaborative environment. You need to work well with others, but you’ll also be focused on growth and development – yours and ours.

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent graduate position based in our Nottingham or London offices.  But you should know we’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working model - one that creates the opportunity to work both remotely and in our offices, which provide great spaces for in-person collaboration.

Our core office days are Tuesday to Thursday, but the number of days you actually spend in the office will be led by your team, the work you’re doing and your preferences. Many of our associates have flexible working patterns, so we’re open to discuss flexible working arrangements with you.
