We’re Energizers. Thought leaders. Boundary pushers. We’re always learning, collaborating and empowering change. Diversity is the fuel to our flame — it's what sparks our innovation, fosters resilience, and makes us a genuinely great place to work. We're looking for people to add to our culture - not fit in with it.

If you're full of energy, fired up about sustainability, and keen to craft not only a better tomorrow, but a better you, then come join a team where your voice matters, your growth is non-negotiable, and your ambitions are our priority.

What you’ll be doing

At Centrica, we’re leading the way towards a decarbonised, decentralised energy system. The transition from fossil fuels to low carbon and renewable energy sources is one of the most pressing and complex challenges facing the world today and, as engineers, you are central to its success.

Our 9-week Summer Internship places you right at the heart of life as an electrical engineer in a global organisation.

You could be involved in anything from developing and maintaining electrical systems, to helping implement large-scale capital projects and ensuring best practice procedures are implemented across the company.

You will also get the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, using your electrical engineering knowledge to collaborate and deliver an engineering project that will have an impact on Centrica’s drive to Net Zero.

You will be provided with an unparalleled level of support with access to buddies and experienced line managers, as well as having a ready-made network of graduates across the business to tap into.

This is an opportunity to gain real experience working within real projects, giving you the chance to develop critical skills that will set you up for a successful future. In addition, you will develop and practice your skills in a safe learning environment, including Presenting with Impact to understand how to capture your audience with confidence. You’ll also get the opportunity to participate in a Charity Challenge, a great way to understand how we make a big difference at Centrica through charity partnerships and volunteering initiatives.
