Take part in the 2021 Tom Morrison Essay Prize competition, initiated and supported by ShareGift, to be in with a chance of winning £1,000. 

Open to students, recent graduates or governance professionals at the start of their career, the Tom Morrison Essay Prize encourages new thinking and recognises original approaches to governance. 

How to enter:

We are asking for an essay of 2,000-2,500 words that demonstrates unique thinking about key aspects of governance on the following topic:

  • Post-COVID-19, what does the concept of ‘building back better’ mean for governance professionals?

Essayists are encouraged to develop their own ideas on the topic, or may wish to focus on one or more of the following aspects

  • the approach to stakeholder engagement
  • sector and industry specifics
  • elements relevant to parts of society
  • global considerations.

Entry deadline: 1 April 2021

All essays must be word processed rather than handwritten, and submitted in Word and PDF formats.
