A leading market maker with a large Technology team is recruiting for a newly created, entry-level position titled IT Vendor Management Analyst.

Sitting within the firms Data & Security Governance function, the roles primary objectives will be:

  • To assist the Data Governance Manager in the management and oversight of IT vendor relationships, associated contracts and other related agreements as required.
  • To maintain and enhance the Company’s IT Governance and IT Risk control methodologies.

Key responsibilities

Vendor Engagement

  • To support the Data Governance Manager and WINS Third-Party Management Team with the handling of IT vendor relationships; both with potential and current suppliers.
  • To ensure that IT personnel are supported during the third-party life cycle (onboarding, monitoring, offboarding).
  • To develop good working relationships with key supplier account managers; ensuring that services meet Winterflood requirements and that any issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
  • To assist with the completion of cyclical external due diligence questionnaires, working with senior stakeholders to building a repository of suitable responses
  • To own the policies and procedures associated with IT vendor engagement.

Contract Assessment, Negotiation and Performance Monitoring

  • To assist with the negotiation, draft and review of service agreements, and complete on-going performance monitoring against contractual KPIs.
  • To work closely with the Winterflood Legal team throughout the contract lifecycle
  • To perform contractual assessments where required to distil key information and provide summaries to assist with the vendor lifecycle.
  • To produce suitable management information to provide assurance of appropriate oversight.

Budget Planning and Support

  • Play a key role in the production of management information relating to budgetary spend and planning.
  • To provide support in respect of invoice administration and oversight.

Other Duties

  • To assist with IT special projects, inclusive of:
    • Procurement exercises in respect of technological requirements 
    • Analysis of what-if scenarios with respect to the impact of changes to the current technological environment 
  • To complete ad-hoc IT related projects, as required by the Data Governance Manager.

Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • An interest in technology and related disciplines
  • An interest in or relevant experience in relation to reviewing vendor contracts and associated legal documentation
  • A basic understanding of Data Protection in general
  • A basic understanding of Market Making’s role in the financial industry
  • Pro-active can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent time keeping and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build a good rapport with colleagues
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel etc.)
