The Shared Services Intern, joining us for a placement year from July '22, will have a great opportunity to learn skills including IT Functional Analysis, Project Management, Release Management, Execution Management & Portfolio Management.

Being part of the Shared Services team opens the possibility of engaging with a world-wide CME Network including teams in Belfast, Chicago, New York, London and Tel Aviv.

Position Responsibilities

The Intern will have the opportunity to learn various aspects of the business, such as:

  • Building Portfolio Management Skills – including Prioritisation, Supply/Demand Management, Budgeting & Project Forecasting.
  • Building Project Management Skills – contributing to project management schedules, project tracking and reporting.
  • Building Functional Analyst skills – contributing to requirements definition process (including building both functional and non-functional use cases) for developers to execute against.
  • Building Release Management Skills – contributing to application change control process, managing compliance, risk management assessments.
  • Building skills in Data Management – including Data Visualisation, Data Construction

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to demonstrate analytical expertise, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and solution orientation in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Willing to work in a team environment; flexibility to work on multiple disparate tasks
