Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Engineering, Service Engineering & Product Improvement student to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington.

During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Customer Engineering acts as a technical liaison to our customers, providing primary support and product information and integration.
  • Service Engineering engages and provides support to customers facing technical issues in the field.
  • Product Improvement Engineering provides engineering support to manufacturing facilities from build to end of life, involving technical issue resolution and development of new parts to meet our customers' needs.
  • Undertaking of key engineering projects for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Currently studying a STEM degree.
  • Basic use and understanding of 3D Modelling, drafting and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.
  • Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward and consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
