We're currently recruiting for a Junior Reliability Engineer at our paper mill in Kemsley. The primary focus of this role is to manage assets through their entire life-cycle supporting safety, performance, risk consequence management and total cost of ownership. You’ll work closely with the Operations team to develop and deliver a world class Reliability strategy that constantly improves the output of the function and site.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsibility for working in compliance with HSER standards
- Vibration analysis work, predicting the lead time to failure for equipment.
- Management of the Asset ‘life-cycle’ care program including routine preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown engineering work and reporting the effectiveness of the team
- Involvement in small capital projects to improve the machinery at the mill
- Managing risk to acceptable levels supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives in the areas of environmental, health and safety, asset availability, quality and productivity
- Contributing to, and where required, facilitating Root Cause Analysis studies to develop detailed improvement action plans
- Continually challenging and developing our process flows and methods of operating
- Playing an active role within the site’s Engineering team, providing technical direction and effective communication and Engineering input into the development of the site to meet the business plan
- Engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders
About you
- Time served apprenticeship in any engineering discipline or within a similar role
- Experience working in a 24-hour FMCG operation, paper/packaging industry would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills as you’ll be dealing with your immediate team and stakeholders across the site
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Reliability Centred Maintenance
- Ideally trained to Level 2 (Mobius/Bindt) in Vibration Analysis but for suitable candidate training can be given
- Knowledge of Thermography & Tribology based condition monitoring advantageous
- Ability to lead a team and deputise for Reliability Engineer
- Highly IT literate with knowledge of SAP CMMS advantageous
