You’ll develop fast and have the chance to move into different business areas and regions. And you’ll be part of a global network of like-minded people – a community that supports and learns from each other.

At Dyson we do things differently. We look for the brightest new graduates with the right attitude to thrive in our unique culture. We offer real jobs with real salaries and real prospects. We need self-starters, people who are motivated and drive themselves forward. You can’t sit back and wait to be told what to do. You will have autonomy and freedom to excel and will be pushed forward to become our future leaders.

    About the role

Our product development teams take radical new ideas and develop them into reality. They explore the limits of our technology and optimise it through relentless experimenting, testing and iterating. Our New Product Innovation team is our ideas centre. It identifies new problems and develops concepts to solve them with disruptive and ground-breaking technology.

Our New Product Development team takes these concepts and works closely with our global engineering and production teams to turn them into machines that are ready to launch. It then develops new ways to test and evaluate performance, to accurately position our technology against our competition. The teams collaborate with Research specialist, downstream RDD teams along with a range of satellite teams to form complete concept proposals and business cases that can be presented to executive stakeholders, including James and Jake Dyson.

You will be sketching, prototyping, testing, failing and refining to deliver the high standards of product development Dyson is known for, working on ideas that will disrupt and transform markets.

You’ll be hands-on, practically applying your technical knowledge with a creative flair to ensure that all engineering problems are resolved thoroughly. During your graduate programme, you will complete rotations across our New Product Innovation teams to give you a diverse and varied graduate experience.

You could be using creative problem solving to produce effective design solutions and initiating new product concepts and ideas to identify market opportunities and designing and building proof-of-principle rigs. You may also be hand-producing prototypes and testing prototypes to validate design decisions as well as defining product specifications and designing production parts.

    Our Graduate Programme

Our graduate programme is designed to help you drive your career at Dyson with a two-year journey to help you grow both personally and professionally. We’ll help you to improve your knowledge and support your future career progression with workshops to give you baseline soft skills in addition to technical training. Our unique experiential journey provides a framework so you can reach your full potential with leadership talks, lunch and learns, and more. You will have the opportunity to rotate into a variety of teams to support your professional development.
