Dyson is growing fast and our ambition is huge – more categories, more locations and more people. Our technology is unique and complex, so it’s up to us to explain it clearly. We’re a large global team, working in-house, directly with engineers and the broader business to create communications that are effective and reflect our pioneering approach. Everything from multi-channel campaigns to ground-breaking films and imagery.

Our in-house Creative team are responsible for protecting the Dyson identity. They explain why our technology is different and ensure that Dyson is always presented in the right way. Our communications should reflect our technologies – simple, functional and crafted to the highest standards.

About the role

We’re looking for a bright new film maker to work with the Dyson Film team on our Malmesbury campus in Wiltshire, making films that bring to life Dyson stories about our people and technology.  The work varies a lot; quirky social films, documentary, animation, inspiring technology films. We have our own on-site 2000 sq ft film studio, but we often shoot on location and when needed we work with external, specialist teams as well.

As a junior filmmaker you’ll craft beautiful films, innovating and turning projects around quickly, to a vast array of budgets and timescales. You’ll have enthusiasm for various filmmaking crafts: directing and shooting, but importantly editing engaging and authentic stories. You will have the support of an established in-house film team, collaborating with other creative teams and stakeholders all around the Dyson world. You will cover all aspects of production, so it is a great opportunity to develop your range of skills and to explore where your future leads.

You’ll be someone who’s taking their first step into the industry, or someone ready to take the next step in their career.
