    About the role

    We’re constantly refining and redefining our global marketing strategies and campaigns to create customer and owner experiences that are authentic and uniquely Dyson. The Marketing team work collaboratively across all functions within Dyson, to make sure the right messages are in the right place at the right time.

    During your one year placement you will work on cross functional projects with a range of teams such as the Retail, Digital, Media, Owner Engagement, PR & Communications, Social Media & Insights teams as well as gaining product experience within the Personal Care, Environmental Care and Floorcare categories.

    The experience gained will be varied and you could be involved with some of the following, depending on the business priorities: activating campaigns and new product launches within your function, ensuring correct approval protocols are followed; analysing data from sales and customer insights to pull out key findings to inform future marketing strategy; work on Owner Experience campaigns to maximise loyalty within existing owners. You could be acting as a runner on TV and photographic shoots for new campaign collateral, obtaining sign-off on a suite of marketing assets such as brochures and retail fixtures, briefing press adverts and digital content to enable projects are delivered on time and on budget.

    Working with the team and interacting across business stakeholders, you’ll be comfortable learning from others but also sharing your own knowledge, ideas and opinions.

    For the duration of your internship, you will have regular performance conversations as well as opportunities for development to enable you to build your reputation within the wider team and we’ll be looking to offer our high performing interns the opportunity to return on our Marketing & e-Commerce Graduate programme.

    About you

    Our roles are competitive and delivering the next generation of Dyson technology is tough, so you will need to be:

    • Studying towards a degree discipline in any business subject area demonstrating your commercial acumen and understanding of marketing.
    • You will be expected to present ideas and actively take part in discussions with colleagues, so be skilled at building relationships and collaboration.
    • Be in your penultimate year of your undergraduate or combined masters degree programme (exceptions allowed for 5 year programmes with a placement in the third year).
    • Happy to build your own networks to learn from the expertise around you.
    • Creative problem solver with the ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Passionate about Dyson and our technology to help us meet our ambitious future plans.
