    We have an opportunity for an AWS DevSecOps Specialist to join GlobalLogic on a contract basis Inside IR35.

    The role

    The responsibilities of the role will include ensuring infrastructure security and automation, reviewing security pull requests, taking part in threat modeling, and managing identities. Your primary focus will be on scrutinizing Scala code within the Spark technology, providing you a chance to showcase your expertise and make significant contributions to our operations.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee secure data engineering solutions on AWS Cloud using Step Functions, Lambda, SQS, S3, and DynamoDB.
    • Create and manage CloudFormation Templates, IAM roles, and Network Security guardrails.
    • Conduct threat modelling using STRIDE
    • and manage identities effectively.
    • Engage in CI/CD process using Azure DevOps Pipeline or GitHub Actions and perform pull request security reviews.
    • Name potential risks, devise mitigation strategies, and communicate effectively.

    Requirements

    • AWS cloud skills
    • Knowledge of SPARK, Scala
    • Data engg aspect knowledge
    • Security aspect of cloud knowledge
    • Java and databricks experience
    • Cloud engg + Data engg + SPARK/ Scala

    Required experience:

    • A DevSecOps or Security-focused DevOps role with 2-3 years’ experience, preferably in AWS Cloud.
    • Ability to analyze Scala code and experience in Spark technology.
    • Familiarity with Policy as Code tools such as OPA.
    • Proficient in AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK). Knowledge of AWS Config and GuardDuty,
    • and familiarity with Azure.
    • Experience configuring and reviewing results from security tools like Qualys, Checkmarx, Tfscan, and Chekov.
