Founded in June 2023, Elyos Energy is a YC backed, seed stage energy-tech company.

Elyos is the energy flexibility and demand response platform for commercial buildings. Our energy platform connects smart thermostats, HVAC systems, solar and batteries in large commercial buildings to optimise real-time, shift usage outside of peak energy prices and opt-in to national grid demand response events where customers can earn money for energy reduction.

The opportunity

This is a paid summer internship that offers an exceptional opportunity for talented individuals to gain valuable experience in a fast moving environment.

You'll gain an insight into the operations of a high-performing, YC backed startup and a working knowledge of how to build products and operating systems that really work for customers.

We're highly motivated, well-credentialed, and passionate about what we do - so we expect you to be too. Your role with us will be critical for the operations function as it scales. Your time will be split between working with our customers, shaping our product and building a seamless operations and customer management suite.

Responsibilities

  • You will be working with our founder and COO, acting as a critical point of contact for our early-stage customers
  • Design, test and implement best-practice, scalable customer operations solutions
  • Feeding the engineering and product teams with customer insights and feedback. As part of this, you will oversee the development of critical feature prioritisation methodologies to ensure we’re always building as fast and smart as we can
  • Respond and escalate customer queries and issues in a timely manner and including managing customer accounts for some of our flagship customers
  • Use data to map processes and understand customer account problems and ultimately work to improve customer experience
  • You will be expected to offer and test potential solutions and then be in charge of implementing the best one(s)
  • Interact daily with fast paced founders, and a talented tech teams, thinking broadly about solutions to the most complex business and operational challenges

Requirements

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently
  • Passionate about bringing new solutions and testing new technologies
  • Track record mapping complex processes and understanding customer requirements
  • Comfortable navigating large data sets
  • Highly structured approach to customer management
  • Strong focus on strategy improvements and process optimisation
  • Ability to learn quickly

Nice to haves but not deal breakers

  • Previous experience in the energy industry
  • Bachelor's degree from a top university
  • STEM background
  • Previous experience with SQL, python or other programming languages

This role is onsite and based in London, United Kingdom. Our office is located close to Liverpool St. At this stage we are not able to provide visa sponsorship.
