EMP Designs is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) company specialising in the design, development and manufacture of products requiring innovative electronic design. Our unique offering comes in the form of clever electronic circuit design paired with intelligent embedded software.

The requirements and scale of the projects we get involved in are varied, from custom lighting sequences, to scientific measurement systems, to the control of large moving platforms; no two projects are the same. We pride ourselves on being able to produce solutions for any electronic or software-based design problem.

In our purpose-built research and development facility, we have all the equipment needed to develop new technologies to produce cutting edge solutions to our client’s brief. Our team is involved in the whole design process from start to finish allowing freedom for design innovation as well has having the opportunity to take ownership over design developments and decisions.

Role Description

Our clients’ needs are constantly evolving and therefore we require talented individuals who are eager to apply their knowledge in different environments.  We embrace ongoing learning and personal growth within a culture of continuous coaching and mentoring.

We are currently looking for a full-time Graduate Embedded Software Engineer, with experience working in C, to join our expert team. As part of the EMP team, you will learn and develop your skills with the support of our nurturing research and development engineers, learning through on-the-job training with live prototype and batch production projects. You will make a real contribution to the functionality and quality of our products and gain oversight of the full end-to-end process, giving you high levels of job satisfaction.

In your first two years with us, you will move between different projects working closely with the whole EMP team and develop skills outside your area of expertise, including circuit design and product aesthetics. This allows you to take on a variety of challenges and responsibilities as you grow your career.

From day one you will join a supportive community who will work with you to empower you to be the best you can be.  No two days at EMP Designs will be the same.

Life at EMP

Everyone at EMP is supportive of one another and we enjoy each other’s company.  We socialise regularly, sometimes that’s a homemade curry at lunchtime or a drink at the pub and other times it is mountain bike ride in the forest.

If you would like a better understanding of what we do and an opportunity to meet us all prior to making an application, we would love to show you round.  Please don’t hesitate to make contact.
