The Commercial Performance Analyst will be responsible for sourcing the centralised commercial data inputs, metrics and analysis to support the drive for commercial financial performance success of the Residential Solutions area towards achieving our EBIT targets through robust MI.
Responsibilities
They will ensure effective management of the data to support forecasting, recording and reporting of all performance and provide insight and analysis to enhance the performance and growth of the operation.
- Creation and ownership of business reporting; aligning outputs to the business & finance,
- Creation and analysis of key performance indicators; managing business performance to KPIs and Risk management at functional level.
- Set up reporting structures in functional businesses to deliver operational performance, linked to energy efficiency measures, volumes and costs and functional Management Reports, informing rolling business forecast and supporting the finance month end
- Support the pipeline model, providing pipeline analysis, integrated into the business model to identify opportunities and delivery gaps
- Articulation of market conditions, aligning with business pricing models for products and services, including market sizing and analysis
- Management of MI outputs; trends and data integrity
- Working closely with the Commercial Performance Managers to drive accountability in business forecasting, ensuring full understanding of KPI’s and impact of performance
- Drive alignment with Property Hub, PAS Hub, CRM Dynamics & PEET for reporting.
- To take responsibility of a centralised data, reporting & insight in line with business and regulatory requirements
- To support the development and delivery of a centralised self-serve reporting portal with Power BI for all regular reports for all respective parties
- To produce a regular schedule of standardised reports and dashboards to enable the business to accurately track its progress and compliance
- To deliver corporate information and insights to help the senior leadership team to make informed decisions
- To periodically review/update our reporting suite to ensure that it's fit for purpose and is aligned to our commercial strategy
- To develop standards, policies and, procedures to support the ongoing implementation and maintenance of data governance
- To work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to develop and align data and insights services across the different parts of Residential Solutions and report for ESG & FEH requirements,
- To act as Residential Solutions data expert at internal meetings & external meetings
- To manage and complete business ad hoc requests including project-based requests, including insights
- To design and lead the data quality management principles, using analysed data to create reports identifying process improvement opportunities and data quality gaps
- To respond to complex enquiries on specific issues requested by the senior leadership team
- To lead in the provision of support to internal teams to understand their reporting needs, to identify solutions to improve teams' reporting capabilities
- To develop and manage workloads with the Power BI experts

Essential
- Experience and understanding in reporting and commercial MI of a solutions business
- Ability to construct and deliver robust reporting models
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Experience of balancing multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and influence decisions
- A proactive and creative approach to problem solving; ability to challenge established thinking
- Numerical and analytical skills to interpret complex information and present it in a clear and logical format and ensure its understanding.
- Experience in business and financial KPI reporting
- Change management experience
- Knowledge of the UK Obligation and Solutions marketplaces
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of CRM Dynamics, Property Hub, PAS Hub, PEET and SAP advantageous. Relevant business experience in an analytical role.
- Understanding of relational databases and mining data. (e.g. SQL).
- The ability to translate large volumes of data into succinct easily digestible reports.
- Detailed knowledge of the energy industry.
- An ability to communicate and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at varying levels within the organisation.
- Creativity and innovative thinking to work around existing market challenges.
- Self starter with the ability to take wide ranging challenges, while making a team contribution.
