Our Extended Assurance team provide a broad range of business change implementation assistance and business assurance services across the Financial Services industry, delivering insight, problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.

The Extended Assurance programme will prepare you for a future in problem solving. From gathering insights to thinking innovatively to tackle in-depth client challenges, you’ll reduce risk and support clients with Financial Services advice. You’ll get exposure to a wide variety of organisations and gain a deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, whilst developing your technical and assurance skills.

What will you be doing?

  • Working within a team at client sites, EY and remotely you will understand the challenges our clients face and help them to address effectively address them
  • You'll be provided with the structured learning, development and coaching needed to accelerate your career
  • Working with a wide range of clients, across varied levels and industries
  • Developing an understanding of Risks and Controls and how the management of these are crucial for our clients
  • Providing assurance and advice over many areas of our clients’ businesses including operational and regulatory assurance
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, and the regulatory landscape in which our clients operate

Programme duration: Two years

Qualification/s you will gain CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, an industry recognised qualification.

You’ll also have access to a broad suite of learning resources to develop your technical and assurance skills, the opportunity to study for additional qualifications, and access to our EY Badges programme which offers structured learning leading to accreditation in a range of subject domains including data visualisation, innovation and blockchain.

Following completion of the programme you have the opportunity to select additional professional qualifications.

Are you eligible to apply?

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honour’s degree in any subject, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).
