The Category Development Internship ideal for those with a deep enthusiasm for data and analysis. We're on the lookout for applicants who excel in Excel, demonstrating exceptional proficiency and comfort in utilising it daily.

Main responsibilities

For the Ferrero internship in category development, your responsibilities are structured around several key areas:

  • You will be tasked with creating detailed SWOT analyses for retailers. This will give you exciting exposure to the strategical side of sales, demonstrating how careful tracking and reporting can significantly boost sales performance.
  • Additionally, you will assist the Category Development Executive in developing compelling trade propositions. This involves understanding the needs and trends within the market and crafting offers that appeal to our trade partners.
  • Your role will also include analysing market trends and opportunities for Ferrero's New Product Development (NPD). This will be achieved through the use of data tools, store visits, and research, providing a well-rounded understanding of the market landscape.
  • Monitoring listings and distribution of both new and core product ranges within our key customers is another critical responsibility. This ensures that our products maintain strong visibility and availability in the market.
  • Lastly, you will conduct in-depth, bespoke analysis on competitors' products and identify emerging trends, such as new flavors. This involves a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, helping Ferrero stay ahead in the market.

Who we are looking for

You'll possess a deep enthusiasm for learning and development, coupled with the capability to deliver work of the highest quality within tight deadlines. Ideal applicants include recent graduates, individuals taking a gap year, or final-year students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Engineering, or related disciplines. You will have the ability to effectively manage your tasks and collaborate seamlessly with a team will be crucial.

Have a strong interest in the consumer goods industry, particularly in the chocolate or confectionery sectors, is essential. You should also exhibit demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and analytical abilities, along with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment is a must.

  2. Testing phase during that last week of April
