The role

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join the Enterprise Commercial Finance team at Worldpay. This position is based in London and aligned to the Worldpay University Program; a two-year program, suited to entry level joiners who aspire to develop a successful career with a leading payments company.

About the team

You will join as part of the Enterprise Commercial Finance (Finance Partnering) team at Worldpay. The team, of eight heads, is responsible for partnering with the Commercial business to deliver overall revenue goal of $2bn, collaborating on a wide range of initiatives within the process. Providing financial insight to highlight risks and opportunities is a key focus of team. The team also works closely with the FP&A (Financial Planning and Analytics) team to steer the business towards achieving its financial targets.

What you will be doing

In this role you will support in the forecast and analysis process for the Merchant Enterprise line of business, working closely with the finance partners to deliver an accurate forecast and help to steer financial performance towards targets. Primary focus areas include:

  • Produce monthly variance analysis to targets across both Revenue and Costs, feeding insights into reporting decks to steer business performance
  • Proactive review financial results to identify areas not performing inline with expectations, and collaborate with Commercial team to understand core drivers and put action plans in place
  • Support the Commercial business on business case creation and commercial initiatives
  • Support team with development of financial models, building improvements and efficiencies where applicable to improve level of forecasting/analysis of macroeconomic trends
  • Significant input towards annual financial budget/planning process

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally financial/Economics, or another numerate discipline but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills – a confident communicator
  • Proactive, enthusiastic with a strong ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Highly organised, with good time management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to build a network and comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • MS Office experience, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • You have a keen interest in the payments and technology industry
  • You have ambitions to study towards a professional accountancy qualification e.g. CIMA
