The role

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join the Enterprise Financial Planning and Analysis team at Worldpay. This position is based in London and aligned to the Worldpay University Program; a two-year program, suited to entry level joiners who aspire to develop a successful career with a leading payments company.

About the team 

You will join as part of the Enterprise Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Worldpay. The team, of eight heads, is responsible for the overall forecasting and analysis of the Enterprise divisions $1.4BN P&L.

Forecast accuracy and driving value add analytics both within the finance organisation and outside of it are key focuses of the team. The team works closely with the Finance Partner team to steer the business towards achieving its financial targets. 

What you will be doing

In this role you will support in the forecast and analysis process for the Merchant Enterprise line of business, working closely with the finance partners to deliver an accurate forecast and help to steer financial performance towards targets. Primary focus areas include: 

  • Produce monthly variance analysis to targets across both Revenue and Costs, feeding insights into reporting decks to steer business performance 
  • Support team with development of regional financial models, building improvements and efficiencies where applicable to improve level of forecasting/analysis of macroeconomic trends
  • Significant input towards annual financial budget/planning process 
  • Contribute towards success of FP&A transformation project, helping to drive team from Forecasting function to true value-add FP&A, seeking out opportunities to stand up new reporting and analytics to help ‘tell the forecast story’  
  • Liaise with Accounting on month end queries/issues where necessary to resolve promptly and minimize impact to close period 

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree, ideally financial/Economics, or another numerate discipline but not essential 
  • Strong interpersonal skills – a confident communicator  
  • Proactive, enthusiastic with a strong ability to work well independently and within a team 
  • Highly organised, with good time management skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to build a network and comfortable interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders 
  • MS Office experience, specifically Excel and PowerPoint 
  • You have a keen interest in the payments and technology industry  
  • You have ambitions to study towards a professional accountancy qualification e.g. CIMA
