The role

Our 10 week Summer Internship programme offers talented University students an opportunity to go beyond the classroom to develop leadership skills and gain meaningful hands on experience working as part of a global support team with professionals across the enterprise. Additionally, interns will participate in scheduled activities throughout the summer, including sessions with Senior Leaders, site tours, volunteer opportunities, and other social events.

  • Location: Basildon, Essex (office based)
  • Salary: £22,000

Department overview and roles and responsibilities

You will assist the project manager or analyst across various project controls and tools, which include;

Project methodologies & delivery processes, touching on:

  • Project Schedule, Plan, Work breakdown structures
  • Task Management & Controls
  • Risk and Issue Management
  • Scope Change Management
  • Dependencies, Assumptions, Lessons learnt logs and controls.
  • RACI matrix (Responsible, Accountable, Consult, Information)

Support project budget controls and management.

This includes;

  • Understanding & validating estimates,
  • Cost forecasting & variance tracking.
  • Support project communications & Meetings
