What will you be doing?

  • Hands on experimentation with quantum gate and quantum annealing computers.
  • Producing strategy papers outlining the current state of quantum technologies and any potential impact on Flutter.
  • Sharing project output across the group via presentations to leadership teams.
  • Working with team members across the group to highlight the impact of new technologies in their areas.

What we're looking for?

  • A strong relationship builder and who will work closely with internal teams.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills
  • Bachelors or above in a technology subject area.
    • Background in computer science, maths, or physics. Candidates should have passed at least two years of an undergraduate degree by the start date (+3rd year is preferable).
    • Be able to code proficiently in Python. Familiarity with SQL and Linux is desirable.
    • Candidates have high levels of proficiency in Statistics (particularly Monte Carlo simulations) and quantum mechanics.
    • Previous experience with high-performance computing is desirable.
  • For candidates to have completed the IBM Quantum course series by the start date (This can be completed following offer of internship). Key modules are:
    • Basics of Quantum Information
    • Fundamentals of Quantum Algorithms
    • Variational Algorithm Design
