The role

We are seeking a highly motivated and meticulous individual to join our team as a Business Development Support. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organic growth of our business by delivering Group Tool Sales Solutions to our sales and client management teams.

You will be responsible for educating our retail colleagues on the full range of solutions within the Sales toolkit, growing their knowledge and awareness of the solutions we have on offer.

This role will involve engaging with multiple stakeholders across our entire UK business – ensuring all materials are accurate and refreshed on an ongoing basis.

How you'll make an impact

  • Provide Sales Support materials to colleagues in connection with Gallagher Drive, Gallagher WIN, and other sales-related tools.
  • Respond to internal customer queries quickly and efficiently, navigating Gallagher Drive and producing data packs for customer conversations.
  • Liaise with the business to know their data needs and fulfil those needs through the use of data.
  • Proactively share sales support materials with business heads for key clients.
  • Develop key relationships with stakeholders.
  • Engage with specialist teams to ensure full knowledge of the sales tool kits and become the guide on the tool across UK Retail.
  • Educate the business on how to use the tools to extract the most value.
  • Become a brand ambassador for Retail Sales Toolkit and UK Retail Sales Operations.
  • Work with the Internal communications team to share key client wins and customer success stories.
  • Engage with non-UK Retail collaborators (Specialty/Overseas) and integrate relevant content where appropriate.
  • Support Bid and Review team requirements.
  • Ensure materials produced are in line with corporate brand guidelines.
  • Clearly manage business expectations by communicating progress, keeping the business advised, and educating them on our processes and timeframes.
  • Deliver an outstanding service to clients and the business by being professional, punctual, and proactive.
  • Complete all corporate e-learn and required training modules on time.
  • Provide support to the Director of Sales Operations/Sales Operations Manager.
  • Proactively define, produce, and provide a standard suite of Sales MI to the trading teams.
  • Support the delivery of the Gallagher Drive initiative and other data-led initiatives as required.
  • Highlight areas where data enrichment can bring value to the teams and support roll-out.
  • Work with US and UK collaborators to recommend and agree on solutions to meet UK requirements.
  • Highlight and drive data quality improvements in conjunction with Operations Directors and branches.
  • Build reports, presentations, and internal communication material to support change communications.
  • Establish two-way communication channels between the Business and Central Service functions to resolve issues and support business as usual processes.
  • Enforce to internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance, and Gallagher's shared values, with a focus on putting clients at the heart of our business.
  • Provide ongoing business support.

About you

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, but not crucial with evidence of similar work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal, and written communication.
  • Ability to build rapport easily with colleagues.
  • Proactive approach with a "can do" attitude.
  • Experience working within structured project methodology, project governance, and reporting.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
