From day one we will support you in developing the technical, digital, and professional skills for you to succeed as a risk professional. Working closely with a wide variety of stakeholders you will gain exposure across operational, credit and market risk.

What you will do

From day one you will be responsible for meaningful work. Rotating around operational, credit and market risk you will

  • Be aware of and monitor macro-economic trends and their implications on the risk environment
  • Identify areas of improvement in procedures based on best practice in the risk function
  • Participate in the production of risk management content and materials for monthly and ad-hoc management reporting
  • Support the incident management programme
  • Understand and review the credit process and systems from origination to fulfilment
  • Support projects across the risk function
  • Conduct relevant analysis, for example analysis of portfolio risk

What you will bring

You will be an ambitious individual looking to join an organisation where you can thrive. As a minimum you will have secured the following

  • A degree or predicted degree in a numerical subject (2:1), together with
  • Three A levels (or equivalent) at grade A* – C or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4 – 9 including Maths and English

You will also demonstrate

  • Analytical thinking – you are able to analyse situations to identify key issues and define clear criteria for decision making
  • Problem solving and initiative – you can assess pros and cons and use logic to guide decision making
  • Planning and organisation – you can manage your time effectively, prioritise both work and tasks, review progress and changes plans when needed
  • Results focus – you demonstrate drive and focus on completing tasks and objectives
  • Communication – you can communicate confidently and clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Working with others – you demonstrate active listening, can build rapport and collaborate with colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of coding languages – python desirable
