Responsibilities

An internship with GE Vernova Communications provides valuable exposure to a full array of global communication skills, disciplines, and functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the communications team to deliver tangible results across a spectrum of internal and external opportunities.

A person in this role will help the organization with strategic project management, writing, editing and additional activities that help shape the story of GE Vernova, both internally and externally. Bring your passion and energy to learn and work on initiatives to drive the business forward.

  • Conduct research, and align with business units to write content in support of communications plans and strategic priorities
  • Produce digital content, such as infographics, newsletters or other collateral to use on communications channels, featuring employees and company programs to support key initiatives and messages
  • Proactively identify opportunities to include strategic messaging and content to broader internal and external audiences
  • Assist with intranet management, content writing, editing, and other communication projects as needed
  • Provide support for company events and/or meetings
  • Support impromptu communications deliverables
  • Work with employees and managers at all levels and from various sites to achieve communication goals
  • Represent the organization on various internal committees/teams

Qualifications & requirements

  • Preferably working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in communications or related subject, as a minimum completed at least two full years of college, or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media tools and web-based newsletters
  • Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Willingness and ability to learn from others.
  • Willingness to make and learn from mistakes.
  • Excellent organizational, written communication, and oral communication skills.
  • One who strives for academic excellence and shows great initiative.
  • Desire to work in a fast paced and agile environment.
  • Passionate about communications.
