We have an opportunity for a forward-thinking and persevering engineer who is a rapid learner and motivated. Join a small team and make a huge impact tackling new engineering challenges in aerospace by developing hardware that enables high-performance flight, user-friendly operation, and efficient small batch manufacturing and servicing.

We are looking for passionate engineers who love to rapidly design, prototype, test, and iterate. Ideal team members are willing to push the boundaries of convention.

Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will have the rare and phenomenal opportunity to design and build new ideas that will challenge the status quo and define the future of the UAS industry.

You will be given the freedom to be as creative and innovative as possible, developing and testing cutting edge technology for a new and rapidly growing industry. As an engineering intern you could take on a variety of roles and gain a broad range of experience.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable in their role and keen to learn on the job soaking up new expertise and implementing it in real time. Typical aero-mechanical engineering tasks may include:

  • Solving small scale fixed-wing and multi-copter aerodynamic challenges.
  • Developing and optimising novel concepts and processes.
  • Rapid prototyping and testing.
  • Designing for manufacture.

Requirements

  • Must be penultimate or final year student or recent university graduate of an engineering subject.
  • Be able to travel to our office in Glasgow for the duration of the internship.
  • Desire and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Capable of working independently with good job autonomy, initiative, self-discipline, and drive.
  • Ability to continually prioritise and multi-task in a dynamic, creative, fast paced environment.
  • Detail orientated and a passion for excellence.
  • A love for working as part of a team.
  • Highly collaborative with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
