GSK Consumer Healthcare develops and markets a range of consumer healthcare products, across the categories of Oral Health, Pain Relief, Respiratory & Skin Health, and Wellness.

In this exciting role you will have the unique opportunity to work with Leadership teams at the highest level within the Quality organisation.  The Quality Strategy team has a broad remit including setting and aligning the Quality strategy for the Consumer Healthcare organisation, managing transformational programmes, as well as strategic capabilities and resource planning for the Consumer Healthcare Quality Leadership team.

In these roles you will have the opportunity to be involved in the creation and implementation of strategic plans and support the drive on key deliverables for the Quality organisation.  Your support will be essential in ensuring our leadership team and employees in Quality community employees world-wide is aligned and focused; executing the improvement changes needed to support delivery our growth target aspirations.  The role will give you a rare opportunity to see and contribute to business operations at a corporate level.

Role 1 – Quality Data Strategy Associate 

What will you do?

  • Support the Quality Strategy key areas of focus: Quality strategy roadmap and associated programs, Quality Culture and Communication, Quality capability 
  • Support the identification, mapping, prioritisation and maintenance of Quality data across the organisation. Support progress tracking, key Quality metric reporting and communication mechanisms 
  • Work with the Quality Strategy Head, the Quality Transformation Lead and the Quality Capability Lead to facilitate key meetings and communication events for the Quality organisation  
  • Work with the Quality Strategy Head to maintain and improve the governance of the senior Quality leadership forums.  Assist in maintaining the overall Global Quality calendar as well as the schedule for key deliverables for the Quality organisation. Assist with managing the agenda, follow-up action tracking and ensure that these synchronise with the wider organisation 
  • Support the Quality Strategy Head to continuously improve our strategic improvement agenda, assisting in external benchmarking and partnership development 
  • You will have the opportunity to be involved in the creation and implementation of corporate strategic plans

  • You will be exposed to all aspects of Quality in a fast-moving Consumer Healthcare company. 

You’ll need:

  • High level of computer, digital and data management literacy 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Clear and confident communication in both oral and written form to a wide range of stakeholders and levels of seniority 
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve and multi-task 
  • Flair for creativity and innovation and a willingness to learn and adapt 
  • Exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail 
  • Deadline-driven, flexible, with self-reliance to work in an empowered and demanding environment 
  • Entrepreneurial with a good level of business acumen. 

Role 2 - Quality Strategic Workforce Planning Associate 

What will you do?

  • Support the Quality Strategy key areas of focus: Quality strategy roadmap and associated programs, Quality Culture and Communication, Quality capability 
  • Work with the Global Quality Capability Lead to develop the Quality strategic workforce planning  
  • Work with the Quality Strategy Head and the Quality Capability Lead to facilitate key meetings and communication events for the Quality leadership team related to Quality culture, Q communication & team engagement, Talent management, Succession planning and Capability build 
  • Assist in maintaining the overall Global Quality calendar as well as the schedule for key deliverables for the Quality organisation. Assist with managing the agenda, follow-up event and action tracking and ensure that these synchronise with the wider organisation 
  • Support the Quality Strategy Head to continuously improve our strategic improvement agenda, assisting in external benchmarking and partnership development

Degree requirements

You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree, but will not have graduated at the start of your placement. You may be expected to provide evidence from your university to show you will be an undergraduate student for the duration of the placement year and they are supportive of your placement.
