Product Development Graduate Program

During this first ever Apparel Product Development Graduate Programme, your mission will be to work within the Technical Team , alongside a creative team of designers and developers. Your mission will be to help create world-class Gymshark apparel.    

You will gain a high-level of technical experience across the programme including; knitting, machine set-up, pattern and garment construction, quality assurance and control plus much more. We will teach you all the essentials to become a product developer. 

Our two year graduate programmes are designed to nurture future talent and help individuals become the best version of themselves. But we are not talking about the gym here! If you’ve got a great vision for yourself, attitude, ambition, and drive to work hard, Gymshark could be the place for you! 

Program Start Date: 2nd September, 2024  
Program Duration: Two Years 
Program Location: Blythe Valley Park in Shirley, West Midlands, UK

Salary: £27,000 per annum

What you’ll learn  

You will gain experience in:  

• Garment Technical fit meetings – taking notes/pictures and uploading into the Product Lifecycle Management system.    
• Monitoring and updating the Development Critical Path – requesting updates from suppliers on sample status.    
• Assisting with the development of samples.    
• Supporting on the coordination of suppliers’ completed Tech packs with factory comments.    
• Assisting the team in the wearer trial process; distributing samples, wearer trial forms and collating feedback.   
• Working with the Fabric Development Team to understand the fabric approval process and ensuring appropriate testing is approved for garment development.   
• Carrying out research projects for the team, such as: compression fit comparison and legging fit comparison.  

What you’ll need    

We’re not about box-ticking and our graduate programs are about developing you.  

To be successful for our Product Development graduate program with us, you will:  

• Have acquired (or finishing) a BA/BSC degree in a relevant technical product development subject 
• Be experienced using Fashion Design / Construction Software (i.e. CAD, CLO, AI) 
• Have seamless / true knitwear experience and fabric knowledge 
• Have a working knowledge of pattern cutting
• Be inquisitive and obsessed about product fit and functionality, ensuring our garments are optimised for the end user
• Have a strong awareness of our product range as well as that of our competitors

What happens next? 

Application Outcomes: Early May
If successful, you will be invited to complete a video interview in your own time so we can get to know the person behind the application.  

Video Interview Outcomes: End of May 
If successful, you will be invited to an in person assessment day at Gymshark HQ in June.  

To be eligible, you must

• Be a recent or soon to be graduate or postgraduate 
• Be happy to work from our HQ campus (Shirley, West Midlands, UK) 4-5 days a week 
• Be ready to start from September 2024 for two years 
• Have full, unsponsored right to work in the UK (unfortunately we cannot provide sponsorship for our graduate programs)
