As a result of ongoing organisational growth, we are excited to be growing our industry-leading IT team based in our Basingstoke Head Office. As a Graduate IT Administrator at Hawk-Eye Innovations, you must be a proactive, adaptable person looking to take on a fast-paced, diverse role within a household name in sports innovation and technology.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate good technical knowledge as well as analytical and communication skills. You should be excited by the prospect of providing first-class I.T administration and technical support to a global business and be able to demonstrate a good foundation of technical skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Administration, maintenance and expansion of the company’s wired, fibre-optic and WIFI networks, including switch, wireless access point and firewall administration and support
  • In conjunction with the rest of the IT team, support the business with general IT queries and support including PC issues, network issues, printers, scanners, Wi-Fi, access points, UPS, etc.
  • I.T. solution development/project work. Assist the I.T project team with evaluating, selecting, testing, and deploying new IT tools, solutions, & platforms
  • Support the installation & maintenance of the central business's I.T. infrastructure including on-premise server racks, network distribution & cloud-hosted infrastructure
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the company’s NAS mass storage servers (backups, server health, firmware updates, user access, capacity upgrades)
  • Support the test lab area where developers and operators can test new and creative ideas, working closely with colleagues to maintain a high level of functionality and safety
  • Write and maintain technical documentation & quick guides
  • Provide direct technical support and coaching to colleagues, including office workers and remote workers
  • Provide support & guidance to the company's other global offices spread across the world

Skills knowledge and expertise

  • A strong foundation level of IT knowledge, ideally including:
    • Networking experience (Wired and wireless)
    • PC / Server / Laptop hardware knowledge
    • Operating systems knowledge and experience, Windows OS experience essential, Linux and Mac OS experience desirable.
  • A firm grounding in the principles of I.T security/cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, and ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to perform tasks under pressure and balance many tasks simultaneously
  • Friendly, approachable attitude, and ability to work with staff across many departments
  • The ability to explain complex technical systems to non-technical colleagues
  • Desire to learn and grow with Hawk-Eye, and motivation to get stuck in with new projects
  • Flexibility and adaptability – the responsibilities and priorities for this role change on a weekly or sometimes daily basis!
