Corporate Finance
Our Corporate Finance business in Europe has expanded rapidly in recent years and now includes more than 175 bankers. Our European headquarters are in London with further offices in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid and Milan. We currently offer advisory services within three areas: mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and private funds. Through our nine dedicated industry groups and financial sponsors efforts, we are able to provide our clients with focused expertise to help advance their vision.
Financial Restructuring
Houlihan Lokey has the largest and most experienced global financial restructuring practice of any investment-banking firm, with over 280 professionals in offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Houlihan Lokey has advised on more than 1,400 restructuring transactions, with aggregate debt claims in excess of $3.0 trillion.
Our group employs an interdisciplinary approach to engagements and is accustomed to evaluating and advising on complex, highly leveraged situations in short time frames. We are also a recognised leader in advising on distressed M&A transactions.
Program Information
Our 5-day Spring Insight Week program is designed for students graduating in 2024, who are interested in a career in investment banking. You will have the opportunity to learn about both our Corporate Finance (M&A) and Financial Restructuring businesses, in order to help you decide which career route you’re most passionate about. No matter what subject you’re studying at university, this program is designed to give you exposure to the life you could lead working in a dynamic, diverse, and international firm.
The program will also include opportunities for you to:
- Learn about our organisation and the industry from our bankers
- Hear from senior business leaders about their roles and how their teams are developing
- Shadow junior bankers in both businesses, to learn more about their day-to-day responsibilities
- Attend practical technical and soft skill workshops
- Showcase your problem-solving abilities by presenting case study exercises to senior business leaders
- Network and attend a social event with a wide variety of bankers

In the case that you demonstrate the right skills and motivation during the Spring Insight Week, you may be fast-tracked to the Assessment Centre for our 2023 Summer Financial Analyst internship programs.
Requirements / Qualifications
This program is intended for UK-based students graduating in 2024. The ideal candidate will also possess the following:
- Some knowledge of or exposure to the financial services industry, either via academic work or independent research
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate independently but also work in a team
- Proactive and performance-driven
