UM International is an agency with momentum. We are in an exciting period of growth following recent new business wins such as Honda, Emirates, Mattel and Just Eat Takeaway. But we are not stopping there, we are on a growth mission and are looking to expand our EMEA New Business Team to support us achieve that goal.

This role is a unique opportunity for an ambitious candidate to work with the UM International leadership team, with fantastic exposure to industry leading work and day-to-day agency operations.

Reporting into the EMEA New Business Director, the New Business Executive’s primary responsibility will be to assist in the smooth management of international pitches. Although no two days will be the same, key responsibilities include establishing pitch communication channels, ensuring milestones in the pitch delivery plan are reached, managing the pitch budget, and briefing of pitch collateral and theatre to designers.

The role will extend to supporting the wider UM EMEA community in their new business effort, channelling requests through to specialist teams, sharing of best practice examples and collection of data from the network.

The New Business executive will have ownership for EMEA-wide reporting of agency data to our Global Growth counterparts, research agencies and pitch consultants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the New Business Director in managing the pitch process and review of content. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Delivery of administrative documentation, such as pitch background documents, with senior management, creation of pitch timing plans and pitch budget sheets
    • Collection of pitch data from across the network
    • Management of RFI documentation, from brief through to completion
    • Scheduling of key pitch team check-ins
    • Briefing and supporting designers, as required
    • Organisation of logistics across the pitch process 
  • Support the wider EMEA new business community by answering requests and sharing best practice
  • Act as lead contact for new business reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage adhoc requests for information from the New Business Director and Leadership Team

  • A proactive, rather than reactive mindset, with a keen eye for detail and a natural ‘problem-solver’
  • Comfortable with Microsoft 365 suite and other video conferencing software
  • Knowledge of design software is a plus but not a necessity
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in the post-Covid virtual word
  • Personable and able to build relationships fast, particularly with senior leadership members
