Pride Veterinary Centre is equipped with cutting-edge facilities and advanced diagnostic tools, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care. With 13 consultation rooms, 7 hospital wards, 5 theatres (expanding this year), a comprehensive imaging suite (CT, MRI & digital x-ray), 3 ultrasound rooms, an endoscopy suite, a hydrotherapy pool and treadmills, and dedicated chemo & radio-iodine treatment rooms, our facilities provide an exceptional care environment.

Applicant requirements

To succeed in this role, you must be a qualified RVN, ideally with at least 1 year of post-graduate experience, as some aspects of the role involve independent work. Whilst any experience in advanced diagnostic imaging or referral work is advantageous, we provide comprehensive training to support your success. Any additional qualifications, such as certificates, are advantageous, and you should be able to demonstrate clinical competence in standard nursing protocols.

Working pattern

This is a fixed-term contract, starting any time from now and running until Autumn 2024. The hours for this role are an average of 32 hours per week spread over 4 x 8hr shifts. The role also includes a 1 in 6 weekend rota from 7:45am to 6pm and a bank holiday rota, meaning the nursing team are required to work 1 or 2 bank holidays per year. On-call is included in the rota, 1 night ( Saturday or Sunday approximately every 12 weeks, paid additionally if called in) but further information regarding on-call/bank holidays can be discussed at interview.
