We are delighted to invite applications for an Internal Medicine internship position. Successful applicants will work alongside our team of boarded Medicine Specialists, Residents, and a dedicated nursing team within a large multidisciplinary practice, renowned for medical excellence.

This internship is particularly suitable for those wishing to pursue a Medicine Residency. You will be involved in a wide variety of challenging cases, participate in weekly teaching of rounds, and gain experience in the teaching and training of junior staff working in medicine.

Hours aimed to achieve a worklife balance

This is a full-time position with hours varying week to week. Most day shifts are 8.00am to 6.30pm but some flexibility is required based on case pressure within the practice. You will also be required to work in a rota working on-call, nights, weekends, and a share of bank holidays.

What you'll need

Applicants should have a strong and demonstrable interest in Internal Medicine. They should already have completed a one-year rotating internship and/or a one-year medicine specific internship.

Experience of working in general small animal practice would be an advantage. Candidates must have excellent spoken written English and good communication skills. Candidates must be members of the RCVS.
