Blackheath Vets is based in an excellent location close to the M6 and M5 motorways, within easy access to Birmingham with its train links and the rest of the country as well as two nearby airports. Birmingham is known for the amazing Bullring and Grand Central shopping centre with diverse high-street fashion & household shops. With a fantastic nightlife scene, great restaurants and attractions, you’ll have everyone you need on your doorstep.

We have a loyal client base, and the practice is highly trusted within the local community for providing exceptional veterinary care. Our dedicated, friendly, experienced team of 1 full time Vet, 1 part time Vet, 2 RVN’s, 1 SVN and 1 receptionist pride themselves on providing the best care for pet and client alike. We have the facilities and resources to enable our staff to work in a low stress, well organised, supportive, friendly, family feel atmosphere.

The practice provides a spacious, light and airy perfect working environment with digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and in-house lab, ISFM cat friendly clinic and RCVS Accredited. Within our group we have mixed experience and interests with certificate holders or undertaking in surgery, exotics, ECC, imaging, medicine. Visiting Cardiologist. Our nursing team hold advanced Diplomas in a wide variety of areas including anaesthesia, Emergency and Critical Care, Feline Nursing and behaviour.

Step into a supportive start

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 4 days a week. Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 6.30pm. You will also be required to participate in a weekend rota which will include working on weekends and bank holidays.

All of our new graduates are teamed up with a senior VetGDP Advisor, who will mentor and guide them throughout the early years of their career. We have several Vets within the group at different stages of their careers who will be happy to share their experiences and vast range of knowledge and accomplishments that the graduate can draw upon.

You will have the time and clinical freedom to fully work up and manage your cases with friendly support available at all times. We will work with you at a pace to suit your needs and help you develop your skills.
