Unlock your passions at White Cross Vets - Wolstanton

White Cross Wolstanton is a small animal practice, situated close to the peak district, perfect for rural walks and adventures, as well as close by to motorway networks.

We strive to provide gold standard veterinary care and hold the ISFM silver award. We are regularly striving to make improvements and hold monthly vet meetings to discuss what is working well, if there are any improvements which need to be made and discuss any difficult or interesting cases.

We all aim to support each other and take wellbeing very seriously at White Cross Wolstanton. We have a Wellness Wednesday once per month, where 2 hours are blocked out of the diary for the team to do something fun together, helping to build the positive team environment we have.

Practice facilities include idexx blood machines, an imagyst machine for quick in-house results from cytology samples, Digital x-ray and dental x-ray, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, ultrasound machine, tonopen, access to endoscope, acupuncture, peripatetic orthopaedic surgeon and specialist ultrasonographers.

Step into a supportive start

Your normal hours of work are 40 hours per week, 4 days a week. Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 7pm. You may also be required to participate in a weekend rota which will include working on weekends and bank holidays.

You will be supported by the Clinical Director who will be your VetGDP advisor. As a new graduate you will be eased into consultations by starting with wellness checks and boosters, building up to seeing sick patients, with extended consultation times.

For surgery, you will be working alongside the VetGDP advisor, or another experienced vet, whereby we can provide as much assistance as you need to develop surgically. There will always be another vet on hand to go to if unsure on anything, as well as weekly meetings with the VetGDP advisor.
