Interns form an integral part of our clinical team, and as our team and services continue to grow, we are now looking to recruit two Anaesthesia Interns to work with our DipECVAA Anaesthesia Specialists, Marieke De Vries and Kristina McMillan-Lehnus, and also alongside our HDU Vets, Bec Hyland and Kenny Sherwood.

You will be expected to be actively involved in client communication, anaesthesia planning of routine cases, and delivery of anaesthesia and supportive HDU care for our more complex cases.

Interns are encouraged to openly engage in case discussions with senior supervising clinicians, residents and the senior nursing team, and should contribute to a positive, informative, respectful and inclusive environment for all. Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate records and written correspondence, is also a key component of this role. The internship runs for 12 months and covers varying shifts to suit the needs of the hospital, including 1:4 weekends cover for anaesthesia and HDU services, and occasional OOH work.
