About the Internship opportunity
We’re excited to be offering a Summer Internship position as a Maritime Engineer in our Ports and Maritime business in our Reading office.
Jacobs Ports and Maritime group (PMG) provides specialist technical services in coastal zone infrastructure development. Our team specialises in commercial ports, bulk terminals, naval bases, breakwaters and coastal defences, dredging and reclamation, marine off-loading facilities and sea water intakes and outfalls. We support a wide range of major UK and international clients across the maritime, defence, energy and transport sectors.

Here's what you need
- On track to complete a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- A flexible and innovative self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills
- Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems
- Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients’ requirements
- A well-rounded individual – have you worked in a bar? Been captain of a sports team or volunteered for a charity? Tell us – we’re looking for people with interesting stories and experiences!
- You must be available to join the 8-week programme starting 1st July 2024 – 22nd August 2024.
- You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
